Firms have warned MPs that a new requirement for phone companies to offer their SDSL broadband services in Welsh could cost millions and increase bills for everyone in Britain. The inquiry into whether this action should proceed is to go ahead on Monday.

As the plan currently stands, WAG will be able to approve the new laws obliging the telecoms companies to offer their services in Welsh.

Most of the submissions received by the Welsh Affairs Select Committee of MPs support the idea. However, the Mobile Broadband Group, in their submission, they asked that various telecoms providers be exempt from the new proposal.

They warn that limited resources should be focused on the things that customers value most such as extended coverage of broadband comparison across Wales

They also warn of the great costs involved in implementing services in Welsh running to millions of pounds, negatively affecting all customers in the UK. It also points out that only 1 percent of its UK customers even speaks Welsh.

British Telecom has stated in its submission that they do not wish to be included in any future laws.

Understanding your mobile broadband download limits will help you avoid receiving an enormous bill. Broadband Expert says that your bills could increase by as much as £200 per extra gigabyte of data downloaded.

One broadband comparison site states that the O2 and 3 companies charge the most expensive rates in this case, charging 19.6 and 10p per megabyte respectively. In spite of this, some companies offer much better deals in this respect, with Vodafone only charging 1.46p or just under £15 per gigabyte while T-Mobile does not even charge anything to users exceeding their download limits.

The commercial director of Broadband Expert, Rob Webber, has stated how difficult it can be to find information on these excess charges and advises how important it is to do your research since the fees can vary greatly between different providers.

The Daily Mail reported an example of these potentially enormous charges when a British man, Will Pierce, received a bill for nearly £22,000 after downloading videos during a skiing holiday in France.

When it comes to internet connectivity for Small and Medium and Enterprises, fast, reliable, and affordable broadband are necessary. The nature of business for home office based and small businesses is in frequent sending and receiving data over the internet.

Since these businesses operate with minimum expenditures, the cost of broadband has to be affordable to attract clients from this category.

The industry has concentrated on providing services to telecoms and internet service business and residential customers. There are many products from many telecoms companies designed to suit this market. However, not much has been done to meet the needs of SMEs.

The introduction of a new SDSL broadband by one of UKs leading telecoms provider to meet the needs of this market is sure to improve the nature of business and transactions carried out by SMEs. Some of the features of the broadband such as unlimited downloads, fixed IP address, uploads of to 1 Mbps are suitable for the niche.

High speed internet connectivity of 24Mbps and affordable costs of $26.48 is guaranteed to catch the attention of many business owners. The broadband is bundled with an analogue line where calls can be made at an affordable rate. Importantly, existing phone lines can be used which helps in reduction of costs during installations

Mobile phone recycle companies have set the standards for mobile phone recycling across Europe. It includes deletion of all personal information of the former owner which otherwise can be misused. It will help in better recycling of the handsets. Telecom Companies with the help of such recyclers as Xchange, Envirofone, Fonebank, etc. has extended their hands regarding the issue.

Mobile phone handsets which are taken for the recycling process, contains many personal and confidential details of the former owner. This information can be easily procured and can be mishandled. The companies will also look into the working and non-working handsets to segregate so that non working handsets are not shipped to developing economies. So the telecom companies have taken a stern measure to delete all the data from the handsets to protect consumer’s privacy.

Handsets are being recycled using quality standards in order to protect the market regarding services offered. Industries guarantees the privacy of the customers so that they can be able to

Offer quality products to the customers. To protect the environment, the handsets to be recycled should not be shipped to other countries; else it should keep at the same place. This hampers the environment to a lot. It leads to the heavy pollution of the environment.
